Installing thebumper

You don't need alot of tools for this install. Just a few special pieces. If you have a deep hole metric ratchet set, 6" extender for the ratchet, drill and some good drill bits, and a lift jack (I'll explain why the lift jack later).

With stock bumper removed

The new brackets
Once you've disconnect the lights from the stock bumper. There is a welded bolt on the sub bumper with a nut on the other end going through the side mount brackets. Look in your fender well at the front and you will see a rubber grommet with a hole in the center of it. Remove the rubber grommet with a pair of pliers and deep in that hole you will see the nut you will need to remove, a 12mm deep socket will be need to remove this nut. Now that you've gotten the stock bumper off, then you need to take off the old brackets and put the new ones on. The new brackets are huge compared to the stock ones. Once you've bolted those on. You will have to drill two additional holes, one hole on the outside of each bracket, for the last two remaining bolts on the bottom of the brackets.

Now you can attach the new ARB bumper. This can be the most difficult part if you have ever hit your bumper hard 4 wheeling, like I did. We used a lift jack to torque the ARB bumper into position wail half way bolted to the brackets. Then reattach the lights.

The ARB bumper weighs 100 pounds. So, the last thing to do is crank the torsion bars back up to where the front was before you installed the ARB bumper. Don't forget to measure the difference between the ground and the vehicle somewhere up front before you take off the stock bumper.
